Mirza Ahmad Waqar Shirazi

Poet

Mirza Ahmad surnamed Waqar was born in 1232 in Qajar dynasty and he passed away in1289 AH and his tomb is in the holy shrine Ahmad ibn Musa.
He was the eldest son of Wasal Shirazi.
He was a calligrapher and poet.
His father and his five brothers are also famous calligraphers and poets of the 13th century.
Mirza Ahmad lived in India, Shiraz,Tehran and Karbala for a while.
He composed a persian poem named Bahram and Behrouz, which was printed in Bombay.
He wrote some books including Anjuman Danesh, Rumozalamareh, Rosmeh Khosravan Parsi, Manzumeh Bahram and Behrouz, Masnavi of Khizr and Musa, Masnavi of Qanun al-Sadarah, Marghzar, Majlis al-Sana and Mohafal al-Azmaneh, Ashra Kamleh, Divan of poems.
He has a poem about Ashura and Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala.
