Moshir ol Molk Mosque

A remnant of the Qajar

Moshir ol Molk Mosque is one of the beautiful and historical mosque in Shiraz. It was constructed during Qajar Period in Iran between 1265 and 1274 A.H. by Mirza Abulhassan Khan Moshir al-Mulk, the governor of Fars.
This Mosque has three eivans (with the porches on the north, west, and east sides)
There is a small Shabestan decorated with beautiful tiles and Muqranas in the northern part of Moshir Mosque.
On the forehead of this shabistan, there is a high arch adorned with some ayahs of the Holy Quran.
On the east of Moshir Mosque, there is a high arch covered with muqarnas and inscription of some ayahs of the holy Quran.
The west eivan has the first clock tower.
This mosque has a big yard with a stone pool in its middle.
One of its prayer hall is located along its south side. It is supported by four columns.
