Rosevalon
There is a custom in Ramadan, which is called “Rozvalon”.
This custom is related to the bride who married newly.
In this custom, the bride’s family have to prepare iftar ( food) in the first month of Ramadan after their daughter’s wedding and send it to the groom’s house with flowers and sweets and gifts such as earrings, rings, bangles, etc.
The bride’s family also sends some gifts to the groom’s family like clothes.
On the first Thursday or Friday of the month of Ramadan, the young couple invite their elders, especially their mothers and fathers, to their houses for an iftar( dinner).
In Khonj city, brides or grooms who have married newly and have made family recently or a child has been born in their families, entertain their relatives and neighbors with iftar (dinner) on Ramadan nights.
There is a ceremony in Khonj, which is held specialy for women in thier houses in Ramadan.
Every night, the women of Khanj gather in one place and perform prayer and recite the holy Quran .
