Rozbahan Abu Muhammad bin Abi Nasr ibn Rozbahan Baghli Fasai Shirazi, known as “Sheikh Shattah” and “Shattah Fars”.
He was born in 522 AH in Fasa city. He was the mystic and scientist of the 6th and 7th centuries.
He studied the Quran in school from some famous scholars. He memorized the Qur’an.
He had some teachers such as Sheikh Jamaluddin Fasai, Sheikh Siraj al-Din Mahmud bin Khalifa, Sheikh Abu al-Safa.
He wrote different books including:
Al-Anwar in Kashf Al-Asrar, Byan Al-Maghamat, Seir Al-Arwah, Kashf Al-Arawah , Mokashefat Al-Anwar,
Mashrab al-Arawah, Galat al-Salkin, Risal al-Quds…
The book “Tohfeh Ahl al-Irfan” is the oldest work which describs the life of Rozbahan. This work was written in the year 695 AH (94 years after Rozbahan’s death) by one of his great-grandsons named Sheikh Sharafuddin Ibrahim (son of Sheikh Sadruddin Rozbahan.
He described Rozbahan’s lifein his book.
