Ali Ibn Hamzeh
He was a sacred figure and the grandson of Imam Kazem( peace be upon him), the seventh Imam of Shia Muslims.
Ali bin Hamzah with his relatives and companions moved to Shiraz to help his uncle, Imam Reza , the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims ,but they encountered with the army of Abbasi Caliph in Arjan region, and during the war some of his companions were martyred and Some of them ran away. Ali bin Hamza was injured in this war and ran away from Abbasi Caliph and found shelter in one of mountains of Shiraz and lived in a cave.
After some days, the soldiers of the king recognized and decapitated and martyred him.
The Holy shrine was built in the 19th century to honor Ali Ibn Hamzeh. It has an attractive dome and two minarets and beautiful courtyard.
The interior of this shrine is decorated with beautiful mirrors which covered the entire wall and domed ceiling.
Many tourists and visitors who travel to Shiraz, visit this peaceful place and pilgrim his tomb and spend their times there with praying.
